The agenda for the upcoming LHCONE and LHCOPN coordination technical meeting has been annouced.
The LHCONE & LHCOPN meetings – organized by CERN – bring together engineerings from network providers (NREN’s), campuses, and scientific experients to discuss the networking needs of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). As the LHC is one of the largest scienctific instruments, and as the experiments run on the LHC are some of the largest generators of scientific data, high-quality and high-speed networking is essential. Furthermore, the LHC network engineering has for the past 10+ years been continuisy pushing the state of the art in research and education networking.
The next meeting take place in Tsukuba, Japan, on 16-17 October, 2017. The meeting is attached to the HEPIX conference.
