NORDUnet speakers at Fed4FIRE

NORDUnet CEO René Buch today addressed the fifth Fed4FIRE+ Engineering Conference (FEC) in Copenhagen, Denmark during its opening day. His primary messages included views on the rise and impacts of Content Distribution Networks and the imminent challenges for NRENS. Other speakers also included  Jerry Sobiski of NORDUnet who gave a Vision talk: What is “Advanced Networks” in 5 years from now?”

The conference, which saw Lars Fischer, NORDUnet Strategy & Policy Officer welcoming the entire event,  focuses in particular on “Advanced Networking” in addition to  technical sessions, tutorials, demo’s and Open Calls information.

The Fed4FIRE+ project offers the largest federation worldwide of Next Generation Internet (NGI) testbeds, which provide open, accessible and reliable facilities supporting a wide variety of different research and innovation communities and initiatives in Europe. Fed4FIRE+ testbed offer:

Fed4FIRE+ is a project under the European Union’s Programme Horizon 2020, offering the largest federation worldwide of Next Generation Internet (NGI) testbeds, which provide open, accessible and reliable facilities supporting a wide variety of different research and innovation communities and initiatives in Europe, including the 5G PPP projects and initiatives.
