Passing of Miroslav Milinović

Passing of Miroslav Milinović

NORDUnet is saddened to learn about the passing of Miroslav Milinović of SRCE. Miro was a longtime collaborator of NORDUnet and the Nordic NRENs and a great contributor to European Trust and Identity infrastructure, and to many incarnations of TNC and the GÉANT project. Through his great commitment in leading operational and support aspects of the eduroam service, Miro played a key role in making eduroam the global success is today. For many years, Miro has guided the pan-European team that has made eduroam a mainstay of European research and education networking.

We will miss Miro as a dedicated colleague in the NREN community tirelessly working towards achieving the best solution irrespective of which project or task he was engaged in, and a a great friend of many in the Nordic community. We will also miss his visits to the joint Nordic booth where he was a much-welcomed visitor always ready for discussion and a kind word.

NORDUnet expresses our sincere condolences to Miro’s family and friends.  If you wish to offer a last personal greeting, you will find his condolence book open via the following link.
