Data management experts from Danish NREN DeiC have been instrumental in the preparation of the White Paper “Fiber Optic Sensing Security Architecture”, published by the SUBMERSE project earlier this year.
The whitepaper addresses the complex security concerns associated with handling sensitive data collecting when fibre optical subsea cables are turned into sensors, and how these concerns can be mitigated.
Read this short article recently published on the In the Fields blog to get an excellent overview of the subsea fibre sensing, the security and data management work of the SUBMERSE project, and the services proposed to overcome the security concerns.
DeiC, Norwegian NREN Sikt and NORDUnet are partners in SUBMERSE with GÉANT Association, European NRENs and research institutions
