“Being a part of something bigger”serves as the common thread as Swedish NREN Sunet extends an invitation to its community for the spring 2024 edition of its traditional gathering, Sunetdagarna. Sunetdagarna is for everyone working with networks, identity, security, and IT services and has been organized for over 20 years. The goal is to create a meeting place for facilitating dialogue and exchange of experiences, as well as to provide information about Sunet and the national and international projects, collaborations, and challenges that occupy the thoughts and commitments of many. Sunetdagarna is held twice a year – in spring in person at one of Sweden’s universities and in autumn digitally via Zoom.
In the spirit of Nordic collaboration, Nordic NRENs and NORDUnet are contributing multiple talks to the program. NORDUnet CEO Valter Nordh will deliver an opening plenary talk on Tuesday, focusing on Nordic collaboration and the European impact on infrastructure and services for research and education. Later on Tuesday, Jan Meijer from the Norwegian NREN Sikt will provide an introduction to the European Open Science Cloud, while NORDUnet’s Ieva Muraskiene will delve into the internal landscape of optical fiber connectivity from both Nordic and European perspectives.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Sikt will participate in several sessions focused on generative AI in higher education, and finally, on Thursday, NORDUnet’s Erik Kikkenborg will introduce the EduMeet open-source platform for video conferencing and online education.
Sunetdagarna Spring 2024 will take place at Uppsala University from April 23 to 25, 2024.
Registration is now closed.
