Valter Nordh named CEO of NORDUnet

“During my first four months with NORDUnet, I have been impressed by the agility of the organisation and the commitment of the staff.  I highly value Nordic collaboration and I am excited to have the opportunity to lead NORDUnet in the coming years. The future will pose many challenges for R&E networking, and I see much potential in NORDUnet and the Nordic NREN collaboration”, says Valter.

Before joining NORDUnet, Valter was with Sunet, among other things leading the Swedish identity federation, SWAMID. Valter is an accomplished relationship builder and is recognised for his ability to lead international collaboration. Valter Nordh was a member of the GÉANT Association board of directors for six year, and before that TERENA vice president of Community Program.

“I have been excited to see the rapid transition to new management and the continued high performance at NORDUnet. We look forward to the evolution of NORDUnet under his guidance” says Maria Häll, CEO of Sunet and Chair of the NORDUnet board.

Valter Nordh has been interim CEO of NORDUnet since 1 November 2021.
