Erik Kikkenborg joins WACREN panel on Scalable platforms for Digital Education

Digital education has seen a steady increase over the past couple of years and the technologies that facilitate it intensified during the pandemic, resulting in an unprecedented boom in usage. NORDUnet Chief Collaboration Officer Erik Kikkenborg has been a driver in meeting the growing demands in the Nordics, however,  has also joined collaborations to help deliver on the promise of digital education for our emerging NREN partners.

Scalable platforms for delivery of digital educational resources, integrated into learning environments, are required for a larger number of students to access education materials without compromising the quality of the learning experience. This is particularly important for emerging NRENs that serve many remote students.

At the WACREN 2023 Conference, Erik will join a group of experts to discuss opportunities and the road ahead. Erik will portray the  Nordic experience in delivering video-based content at scale, and opportunities for creating scalable platforms for the WACREN community, supporting students regardless of their location and background.

The panel session “Scalable platforms for Digital Education” will take place Thursday March 16, 16:00 – 17:00 GMT.
