Valter Nordh appointed interim CEO of NORDUnet

Valter Nordh has been appointed interim CEO of NORDUnet.

“This is a huge and challenging task. I am excited to have the opportunity to lead NORDUnet over the coming period of time. I hope that my background and extensive international network will prove advantageous to the entire organization. Collaboration between the Nordic countries is both important and fruitful to all parties” says Valter.

Valter has held a number of positions with Sunet, among other things been leading the Swedish identity federation, SWAMID, since its formation in 2007. Valter is an accomplished relationship builder and is recognised for his ability to lead international collaboration. Valter Nordh has served for the past six years on the GÉANT Association board of directors, and before that as TERENA vice president of Community Program.

“I am happy that within NORDUnet we have found a good interim solution with Valter as CEO. We look forward to be working with him in his new role,” says Maria Häll, CEO of Sunet and Chair of the NORDUnet board.

Valter Nordh takes over as CEO from René Buch.
