Welcome to the 31st NORDUnet Conference

Welcome to the 31st NORDUnet Conference

The 31st NORDUnet conference opens today in Reykjavik, Iceland. Over 270 participants will gather at the Harpa conference and concert venue. On the first day of the conference, participants will learn about how High-Performance computing contributes to professional cycling in a keynote by Bert Blocken, followed by sessions on advanced networking, privacy & security, trust and identity, HPC, and advanced services for education.

Throughout the day – and the days ahead – members of the Nordic R&E infrastructure community and their peers from Europe, North America, and the rest of the world will mingle, share, discuss, challenge each other, and be inspired to develop new solutions and new technologies for research and education networking – as has been the case since the very first NORDUnet conference 42 years ago.

This first day of NORDUnet 2022 will end with the traditional lightning talk session, featuring updates on the latest development on the community, following by the no less traditional opening reception.

We are happy to see so many participants back together after they years of COVID-19. If you are not able to join us in Reykjavik, the core content of the conference will still be available to you through online streaming of all sessions and keynotes. The full experience of Nordic collaboration and the stunning Icelandic scenery will only be available to those who have been able to join us on-site.
