The programme for the 33rd NORDUnet Conference has now been published.

The programme for the 33rd NORDUnet Conference has now been published, giving a first glimpse of the topics and discussions that will shape this year’s event.

Conference dates are  8–10 September 2026 and the event will unfold in Luleå, Sweden. Hosted by Swedish NREN Sunet together with NORDUnet, it will feature sessions ranging from how AI is changing education to quantum networks and the future of NRENs.

The NORDUnet Conference Programme Committee has put together a programme with a mix of plenary keynote talks, parallel technical and topical sessions, and plenary lightning talks. Hence, the  programme reflects the breadth of issues that research and education networks are facing today, while at the same time creating space for discussions across the Nordic NREN community and beyond.

You can review the complete programme outline on the conference website, with abstracts for each session, and learn more about the sessions that are of most interest to you.

Details of the individual talks will be available following a call for presentations later this spring.

The NORDUnet Conference has a history of more than 40 years and is the premier meeting place for the Nordic NREN community. It brings together stakeholders, policy makers, practitioners and specialists from across the Nordic countries, alongside trusted European and international partners. Every two years, it provides a unique forum to exchange experiences, explore new ideas, and strengthen the collaborations that underpin our shared digital infrastructure.

Early Bird registration is open – secure your place today.
