We are delighted to open registration for the 33rd NORDUnet Conference, taking place on 8–10 September 2026 in Luleå, Sweden. Hosted by Sunet together with NORDUnet, this continues a proud tradition that for more than 40 years has brought the Nordic research and education networking community together.
The NORDUnet Conference is the premier meeting place for the Nordic NREN community. It gathers stakeholders, policy makers, practitioners and specialists from across the Nordic countries, alongside trusted European and international partners. Every two years, it provides a unique forum to exchange experiences, explore new ideas, and strengthen the collaborations that underpin our shared digital infrastructure.
The NORDUnet 2026 Program Committee met in early February in Copenhagen to shape this year’s programme. Over two intense days, the committee discussed keynote speakers and session proposals, drawing on close engagement with the Nordic community and their own extensive experience. The result is a programme that reflects the ongoing digital transformation of research and education.

Among the selected themes are
- “The Community We Serve”
- “Stakeholder Management”
- “Education”
alongside core sessions on networks, data, identity and security.
The conference will feature four keynote presentations, in-depth topical sessions, and dynamic five-minute lightning talks, creating space for both deep dives and fresh perspectives – sparking discussions that continue throughout breaks and social events designed to foster dialogue and new connections.
We warmly invite everyone with an interest in research and education infrastructure and services to join us in Luleå. We look forward to welcoming colleagues from the Nordic NRENs and research and education institutions, as well as partners and collaborators from across Europe and around the world.
